This project was created for Baddie Baldie, a blog and empowerment platform dedicated to celebrating the beauty, strength, and confidence of bald women. The goal was to design a symbolic t-shirt graphic that captures both vulnerability and empowerment — reflecting the emotional journey of hair loss while celebrating identity, resilience, and femininity.
The client requested a silhouette of a woman whose “hair” is represented by flowers. As the petals fall, they symbolize the experience of hair loss — yet the overall image remains elegant, strong, and uplifting. The purpose of the design is not only visual beauty but emotional resonance for women who embrace baldness on their own terms.
Brand Discovery:
Gained a deep understanding of the Baddie Baldie mission — empowering bald women, honoring their stories, and amplifying their beauty. Identified visual themes of strength, softness, femininity, and symbolism to guide the illustration direction.
Layout & Typography:
Created a strong silhouette profile similar in elegance to fashion illustration, ensuring clean lines, balance, and clarity for apparel printing. Built the composition to allow for flowing floral elements that would read well on multiple t-shirt colors.
Visual Strategy:
Designed a crown of flowers that transitions into gently falling petals — visually representing both loss and liberation. Incorporated symbolic shapes that evoke grace and movement, ensuring the silhouette remains the focal point. Used a minimal, high-contrast style to maintain boldness and emotional impact on fabric.
Production:
Delivered a high-resolution vector illustration suitable for t-shirt printing, e-commerce, and blog branding. The artwork was optimized for screen printing, DTG printing, and scalable merchandising. Provided multiple color variations to ensure flexibility across future apparel drops.
